KARACHI: In an unfortunate incident at Khamiso Chowk on Wednesday, a bus driver takes a wrong-way route and collides with a motorcycle. The bike rider died on spot in this tragic hit and run accident.
According to rescue personnel, the incident occurred near Khamiso Chowk, where a bus driver took an inverse road and struck the motorcycle. The deceased motorcyclist has been identified as 17-year-old Muhammad Jameel.
According to his uncle, “Jameel was an employee of a garment factory and was a bachelor.” Standing next to the body of his nephew he told officials, that he arrived on the scene after getting reports of the incident and identified Jameel himself.
The wrong-way driving bus driver managed to escape the scene within minutes, eyewitnesses claim. They also claimed that while contacting police for help, no immediate response was provided. “When we asked them to arrive on the spot, the police claimed that the area is out of their jurisdictions,” claimed an eye-witness. “We also called the New Karachi and Surjani police stations but they also gave the same reason,” he added.
