KARACHI: Chaudhry Pervaiz Elahi, Chief Minister presided an 8th meeting at CM’s house on Wednesday of a Lahore Development Authority. In the meeting, the Lahore Master Plan 2050 was approved with a keen focus on agriculture landing.
In the meeting rural – urban sustainable policy and its maintenance was discussed. The meeting had also pointers regarding the green land area to be expanded from 7 to 20 percent. Other than, the approval for districts, town level and division were also granted in the plan.
The meeting was also attended by LDA Vice-Chairman and Senior Provincial Minister Mian Muhammad Aslam Iqbal, Principal Secretary to CM Muhammad Khan Bhatti, former Principal Secretary to CM GM Sikandar, and Wasa Vice-Chairman Sheikh Imtiaz Mahmood, MPA Pir Mukhtar.
The planning was directed by the CM to be made in particular with the transport, industrial and commercial area. Moreover, Central Business District Projects (CBD) will also be included in the Lahore Master plan of 2050.
The plan had a focus to promote environment, tourism, and urban management. Furthermore, extra funds for the financial year of 2022-2023 for Area Development Programme were also issued along with improvement in structure of heads of finance, revenues, and recovery wings, promoting in IT core and settling out of court settlement with Dr. Iftikhar and others.
A renewal of the agreement with Choueifat School was also granted for PC-1 of LDA city. An allotment of the plots to the affected of Mustafa town were also renewed.
