‘We Miss Her Every Day,’ Bilawal Bhutto Pays Ode to Benazir On 15th Death Anniversary

KARACHI: Bilawal Bhutto Zardari, PPP Chairman and Foreign Minister on Monday paid tribute to his late mother Shaheed Benazir Bhutto on her Martyrdom Day. Benazai Bhutto was assassinated in Liaqat National Bagh in Rawalpindi after shots were fired at her after a political rally. A suicide bomb was detonated immediately following the shooting. This will be the 15th Martyrdom Day of the first Muslim woman to be elected as 11th and 13th Prime Minister of Pakistan.

The legacy of the Daughter of East in national and international politics is truly immortal. The Minister added, that we remember her every day. “Every day we take guidance through her vision and thought,” says Bilawal. Moreover, the PPP chairman added, that she as a charismatic leader was way ahead of her times with her comprehensibility.

Charismatic leaders like her are born once in a century, Bhutto added. She had always taught to not hate and forgive. She was an architect in the struggle for democracy.

Also, martyr Bibi was vocal about the rights of deprived social classes and minorities along with being a flag-bearer for the struggle and empowerment of women. She was a patron of the civil rights, and federal units and was the preacher for harmony and unity. The democratic forces are all prepared to solve all the problems of the homeland.

PPP adheres to the philosophy of Martyr Benazir Bhutto

PPP complying with the thoughts and philosophy of Benazir will move forward. PPP will eradicate hunger, poverty, and unemployment said, Bhutto.

PPP chairman further added that we want to create a society based on equality, brotherhood, and tolerance. Moreover, Pakistan will be made a role model for the Islamic world as a strong federal democratic country. As well as, he said that we will ensure to bring social and economic justice by strengthening parliament and democracy.

Benazir Bhutto Assassination

Benazir Bhutto was assassinated on 27th December 2007 in Liaquat National Bagh, Rawalpindi. An immediate probe was formed, however till today it has not been concluded the motives behind her assassination. Numerous motives surfaced after the death of Benazir Bhutto who came to Pakistan to run an election campaign. Benazir due to her variant stance on policy was popular as well as most criticized, nevertheless, her determination and ongoing struggle made her among the most popular women leaders of the world.
