Suspects Involve In ICT Attacks Detained, Claims Sana Ullah

ISLAMABAD: Suspects involved in suicide attack Islamabad were arrested, Says Rana Sana Ullah, on Tuesday

In a television interview, Minister of Interior Affairs Rana Sana Ullah said security forces arrested the handler of the attack that happened on 23 Dec, One constable embraced martyrdom, and several got injured as the result of an unfortunate event.

The taxi Driver killed in the attack was innocent as the taxi was hired to reach the destination, Says the Minister.

Sharing further details of the investigation, Sana Ullah said the terrorist began their travel from Karam Agency and stayed in Rawalpindi.

Investigation Of ICT Attack

New details have emerged in the probe of the ICT suicide attack. The suspect departed from Khyber Pakhtoonkhwa KPK and reached Islamabad on the same day of the attack, Capital TV reported.

The suspected terrorist used a public bus service to travel, the investigators revealed. He spotted at the station of Karam Pirwadahi and I-10/4, say sources.

The suspect was first seen at Pirwadhai, and the presence of the suspected terrorist at the I-10 area was revealed through geofencing, said sources.

According to sources, the suspected terrorist was traveling with explosives and a suicide jacket. He was in contact with a third person when he reached Pirwadhai.

The same sources claimed that they didn’t find any evidence that indicates the suspect met with anyone.

Amid rising security concerns, the Federal Capitals police embarked on new special plans to keep security on high alert. The plans include 25 temporary check posts in the city and mandating both citizens and foreigners to carry their identification documents with them.
