RAWALPINDI: Two terrorists were killed in the exchange of fire in the Arawali area of Kurram District on Thursday. During the clashes, three soldiers embraced martyrdom.
According to Inter-Service Public Relations (ISPR), the killed militants were actively involved in terrorist activities against the security forces.
However, during the exchange of fire, Subedar Shuja Muhammad, Naik Muhammad Ramzan, and Sepoy Abdul Rehman were martyred. They belonged to Khairpur, Khuzdar, and Sukkur, respectively.
The army troops fought bravely and effectively engaged the terrorists, and recovered weapons and ammunition after killing them.
The forces were carrying out a search operation to clear the area from militants, said ISPR.
The Pakistan Army added, it was determined to eliminate the menace of terrorism, and such sacrifices of its brave soldiers further strengthened its resolve.
Earlier on Wednesday, the corps commanders at their monthly conference at the General Headquarters pledged to fight against terrorism.
Since the Taliban took control in Afghanistan, more than 400 terrorist attacks took place. Due to that, the federal capital has been put on high-security alert.
Earlier this month, militants also took over a Counter-terrorism Department’s (CTD) compound in KP’s Bannu area, which cleared by the Pakistan Army soldiers three days later.
However, four soldiers embraced martyrdom, and 10 sustained injuries.
