KARACHI: Syed Murad Ali Shah, Chief Minister of Sindh removed the ban against pillion riding in reference to New Year’s Eve on Saturday. CM Murad expressed his hope that the youngsters would respect the decision to lift the ban. CM added that young people should celebrate the New Year “with dignity and honor.”
The CM expressed his hope for citizens to refrain from harmful activities including one-wheeling and aerial firing. He had asked the citizen to act responsibly and respectfully to each other and their families. Moreover, he wished New Year to be more democratic in restoration for flood victims and economy.
Irfan Baloch, DIG south said more than 2500 policemen will be deployed at sea view for duty. Earlier, in a report, it was announced that police permitted people to gather at sea view for the New Year. In addition, more than 150 female officers will also be appointed from 10 pm to 2 am at Sea View.
According to DIG Baloch, people should observe the New Year’s in accordance with the law, and that troublemaking behavior will not be accepted.
Furthermore, aerial firing will be subjected to an attempt to murder against the culprits, DIG added. The same rules apply to one-wheeling on bikes and drifting in cars. No one will prevent you from celebrating properly, according to DIG Baloch.
