The notification regarding the development has been issued along with the signature of Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, stating that the responsibility of reorganising the party has been permitted to Maryam Nawaz, the daughter of the supremo of the party, Mian Muhammad Nawaz Sharif.
“Pursuant to the powers conferred under the Constitution of Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz, the undersigned is pleased to appoint Ms. Maryam Nawaz Sharif as “Senior Vice President” with immediate effect,” stated the notification.

PMLN appointed Maryam Nawaz as the 16 senior vice president of the party in 2019. However, the Foreign Minister of that time, Shah Mehmood Quraishi, challenged the appointment.
