Rishabh Pant To Be Shift Mumbai for a Knee Surgery

DELHI: Indian Cricketer, Rishabh Pant after surviving a serious road accident in Uttarakhand is being shifted to Mumbai for his knee surgery. The 25-year-old cricket will be airlifted from Dehradun to Mumbai.

As per the Board of Control for Cricket in India, BCCI, Pant will undergo Knee ligament surgery and will be under watch by BCCI Medical Team till his recovery. The board informed, “The Board will make every effort to aid and expedite the recovery process of Rishabh and will provide him with all the support he needs during this period.”

When shifted to Mumbai, Pant will be under observation by Dr. Dinshaw Pardiwala, sports orthopedics who had an experience with other remarkable cricket players including Sachin Tendulkar, Yuvraj Singh, Jasprit Bumrah, Ravindra Jadeja as informed by ESPNcricinfo.

while on way to meet her mother in Uttarakhand. The cricketer had a severe car crash at around 5:30 on the 30th of December of last year. The car was found in fumes when the pictures got viral.

In an emergency, Pant was taken to Max Hospital and where he undergone a plastic surgery for his skin wounds, face injuries, and scratches. His body scan for the brain and spine were normal however, foot and knee scans were paused due to swelling.

India’s next tournaments includes: Test match against Australia, World Test Championship in England, and ODI World Cup and Indian Premier League. Pant playing position cannot be predicted at a crucial moment for Indian Cricket.
