RAWALPINDI: Sheikh Rashid Ahmed, leader of Awami Muslim League (AML) on Thursday warned the ruling government to dismiss any plan of disqualification of Imran Khan, PTI chairman. Ahmed said in a tweet, that the government took over illegally in the “darkness of night”. Adding more he said, that if the government is thinking to disqualify him, it will cost them to pay heavy price. Since they took over, Khan has become more popular and strong.

Chicken Price Hike

Ahmed has also rebuked the federal government’s advice to not consume chicken as they are ‘unhealthy’. In a press conference on Wednesday, Tariq Bashir Cheema, Federal Minister for National Food Security said to not consume chicken as they are being made with GMO oilseeds.

Furthermore, Ahmed added, that the ruling government has failed to bring stability in both the economic and political sectors. Moreover, he said that inflation has increased while lowering exchange reserves.

Closure of the Market

Ahmed had suggested the government to review its decisions with trade union organisations and the province. The decision of closure of markets were put forth under energy-conservative plans to save energy and tackle the economy crises Pakistan has been facing.
