Henley & Partners, an investment migration consultancy in London in its global passport ranking 2023 ranked Pakistan as 106 out of 109 countries. The list includes Pakistani passport ranks fourth from the bottom followed by Syria, Iraq, and Afghanistan.
Out of 227, Pakistan holds access to 32 travel destinations on visa-free or visa-on-arrival entry. As per the latest report, the neighboring countries of Pakistan including India scored 85, China (66), Afghanistan (109), Bangladesh (101), and Iran (99).
Japan Ranks Top
Japan has topped the Henley Passport Index and is positioned in the first category by allowing 193 destinations for a visa or visa-on-arrival entry. Japan is followed by Singapore, South Korea, Germany, Spain, and Finland.
Most of the European countries have occupied the ruling position on the ranking Germany allowing 190 spots, followed by Spain (190), Finland, Italy, and Luxembourg (189).
Afghanistan Ranks bottom
Afghanistan ranks 109 at the lowest of the index with only access to 27 countries. Afghanistan as a war-torn country is engulfed in numerous existential crises.
In 2021, after US troops left the country unapologetic, the Taliban administration took control. The Taliban regime has no far delivered any relief for the people of Afghanistan resulting in more miseries regarding human and women’s rights. Female students endangered their identity groped by the Taliban’s latest policy of banning girls’ education.

Global Passport Power Rank 2023
As per the Global Passport Power Rank 2023, Pakistan has been placed on a 45 mobility score allowing limited access to countries on a given passport. Pakistan stands 92 in the passport power ranks. According to the ranking, allows 153 nations visas. The visa-free score is limited to 8, Visa on arrival allows 36 destinations and Electronic Travel Authorization with one ranking.
