LAHORE: As Chief Minister of Punjab Parvez Elahi crowned the victory in the Provincial Assembly, Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) has come back to its agenda, referring to dissolving the Assemblies.
On Wednesday Evening, in a media talk, PTI leader Fawad Chaudhary said, “We are standing on our legal agenda, and the Punjab Assembly will dissolve the next day if there would not be a legal resistance.”
On 24 Dec, the Lahore High Court (LHC) had restored Chaudhary Parvez Elahi to the position of Chief Minister of Punjab.
He had assured the court that he won’t dissolve the Punjab Assembly, and the LHC had suspended the notification of the Governor.
“I want to congratulate the members of PTI who had rejected the amount of money, they had been offered by the opposition in the account of horse trading.”
Furthermore, “It is a unique incident in the history of Pakistan when members denied taking a bribe,” says Fawad Chaudhary.
He said we are standing on our agenda, which is free and fair fresh General Elections.
