A man with the username of @iainturbro_ is being brutally schooled by the Twitter community after he called depression ‘a joke.’ According to his bio, the user is ‘into medicine.’ Pakistanis are coming together to set his views right as he wrote, “Depression is a joke. Don’t come to me saying I am depressed. You are depressed because you deserve it. You are depressed because you owned it. There is no such thing like depression exists. It’s you who made it a cripple disease. Depression is not real, it’s just our thoughts.”
Arguing their stance, a few netizens shared graphics of what depression does to your mind. “Even MRIs show changes in your brain structures,’” says @rubzahra_.
Another Twitter user named @razannxo also shared graphics of what ‘a depressed brain’ looks like.
“I pray you never experience what it’s like to wake up at 3a.m with a racing heart,” says a netizen named @ellbeear.
The rest of the Twitter community took a sarcastic take on his point of view by comparing it with other diseases which are as serious as depression.
