Shahid Kapoor and Vijay Sethupathi make their digital debuts in the new web series “Farzi,” which has just launched its official teaser.
The ensemble cast of “Farzi” and streaming service Amazon Prime Video unveiled the highly anticipated trailer for the thriller series on Friday in a star-studded event. The video advised, “If you can’t change the rules, change the game.”
In the two-and-a-half-minute trailer, Sethupathi plays a law enforcement officer who tries to stop Kapoor, who plays a talented conman, from posing as him and posing threats to the nation. Parallel leads and their assistants are running a cat-and-mouse game, but will the cop and crew be able to arrest the counterfeiter or will they fall for Sunny’s con?
Shahid Kapoor and Vijay Sethupathi, respectively, star in the fast-paced, thriller crime series “Farzi,” which also prominently features Raashii Khanna, Kay Kay Menon, and Amol Palekar.
While speaking with the media Shahid said, “We started talking about the show even before the film fraternity started getting onto OTT. They narrated an idea that strangely eight years back.”
“We had discussed with each other a movie (idea). At that time (we couldn’t do it) as it was too big in terms of the length of the story or to fit into a single film,” Kapoor added.
