ISLAMABAD: Premier Shahbaz Sharif launched the anti-polio campaign and vowed to get rid of this disease soon.
Shehbaz Sharif said, “There is no doubt that Pakistan is on the list of the countries, which are still suffering from the disease.”
“There have been 20 cases have appeared in Waziristan within a few days. However pandemic isn’t spreading, it has been limited in the areas,” says Premier.
PM applauds the performance of frontline health workers, who sacrifices their life, and paid their duty honestly.
At the beginning of the month, there was an attack on the polio team, where 6 workers were wounded.
Polio Campaign
This is the first campaign of the current year, according to the health department of Pakistan, they have targeted immune 44.2 million children during the campaign.
The current campaign will continue from 16 to 20 January, and the government is taken a collective effort to finish polio from the country.
Minister of Health Qadir Patel directed parents to immunize their children to save their children from the inability.
