KARACHI: After delays in holding the polling, another delay appeared in the results with political parties expressing concern about the slowdown.
According to the reports, there are 246 union councils (UC) in Karachi and initial and non-governmental results of 87 union councils have been revealed.
According to the unverified result, the people’s party is in a leading position in 46 UCs, while Jamat-e-Islami won 27 results.
The Independent candidate was also crowned one seat in Karachi.
Sources said, “In the Hyderabad division people’s party won on 787 seats, while independent candidates set victory on 63 seats.”

Political Parties Express Concerns
Political leaders expressed their concern about the delay in the result announcement. Provincial minister for labor and manpower Saeed Ghani said, “Delay in results makes electoral process controversial.”
Law advisor to CM Murtaza Wahab demanded election commission of Pakistan to reveal results as soon as possible.
Earlier, PTI leader Ali Zaidi claimed that they are monitoring results very closely and his party is standing in the winning position.
