KARACHI: Leader of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf Firdous Shamim Naqvi has booked in FIR in the wake of tempering ballot box during Local bodies (LG) Elections in Karachi.
On the day of the election, Firdous Shamim Naqvi tried to open the ballot box in the polling station of Union Council 2.
Firdous Shamim Naqvi raised objections that the seal of the ballot boxes can open without breaking it out.
However, the Election commission of Pakistan (ECP) has taken notice of the action of Firdous Shamim as well.
Defending himself, Firdous Shamim Naqvi said, “I just helped out a presiding officer to settle down the seals, and the allegations written in a First Information Report (FIR) are fake and wrong.”
On the day of the election, he also raised the question regarding the presence and training of staff.
He said, “ECP didn’t train the presiding officers, the seal of all boxes is open.”
According to the reports, the FIR has been registered on the complaint of the presiding officer, in the soldier Bazar police station.
