ISLAMABAD: The Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) issued notification of the victory of Chairman Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Imran Khan on NA’s 7 seats while ignoring the alleged failure to submit details of his expenses.
The ECP announced the verdict reserved on 20th December and decided to issue a notification of Imran’s victory on all seven seats of NA.
Last year, ECP held the by-elections on 7 seats of the National Assembly (NA), Imran Khan combated all seats and set embraced victory at all seats.

Imran Khan didn’t submit details of his expenses for the election before by polling, however, ECP ignore it.
Imran Khan remained successful in the by-election of NA-22, NA-24, NA-31, NA-108, NA-118, NA-239, and NA-45.
Barrister Gohar, the counsel of Imran Khan, said, “Khan received a notice regarding failure to submit the details of election campaign expenses.”
He said, “ECP overpassed the matter of delay in the submission of expenses details.”

According to the election laws, “Every returned candidate shall, within five days from the date of the election, submit return of election expenses in accordance with the provision of section 29.”
“On receipt of the returns of the election under sub-section (3) of section 24, the Commission shall publish in the official Gazette the names of the returned candidates.
The provided name of a candidate shall not be published who fails to submit the return of election expenses as required by sub-section (3) of section 24.
