ISLAMABAD: The supporters of PML-N have fixed their eyes on the return of Nawaz Sharif, while the leaders also signaled regarding development, after Rana Sana Ullah, governor of Punjab Baligh-ur-Rehman, also stood on the list them, who are forecasting their Supremo’s return.
On Wednesday, in a media talk, the governor of Punjab said, “Nawaz Sharif will come back to Pakistan in a month.”
“Maryam Nawaz, also returning to Pakistan within a week, and I’ll receive her on air at the airport,” He said.
However, the Leaders of PML-N will set to gather in London for a meeting to be chaired by Primo Nawaz Sharif.
According to the report of Capital TV, the sources said, “Disbursements of party tickets in Punjab and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and election campaign will be part of the meeting.”
“The party has recommended taking resignation from Ahsan Iqbal, Rana Sana Ullah, Saad Rafiq, and Ayaz Sadiq.”
The aforementioned, names are the Minister of Planning and Development, Minister of Interior Affairs, Minister of Railway, and Minister of Economic Affairs respectively.
The recommendation surfaced because while holding the office the ministers cannot attach themselves to the election campaign.
On the other hand, Maryam Nawaz, the President and Chief organizer of the Party on 29 January, will reach Lahore from London at 4 Pm.
Nawaz’s Decision on Return
On 14 January, the Primo of the Party Nawaz Sharif refused to come back and said, “It is impossible to return in the current political uncertainty.”
However, he had said, if Maryam returns to Pakistan and gives me a report after some time, then I will decide to return home.
Sources said that on this occasion, Nawaz Sharif had advised the party leaders to immediately prepare for the elections and enter the election field with full preparation.
However, the older Sharif has been spending self-exile since 2019, after the rising popularity of Imran Khan.
Hence, Nawaz was also charged with corruption after revealing their Panama papers and he had taken permission from the court to go outside the country for health issues.
