Riz Ahmed becomes the first actor of Pakistani descent to be nominated for an Academy Award next week. Ahmed will be paired up with M3GAN star Allison Williams for the task.

According to the details, the announcement will be made on Tuesday at 8:30 a.m. ET/5:30 a.m. PT at the Academy’s Samuel Goldwyn Theater and will be broadcast live on ABC’s “Good Morning America,” the morning program said on Wednesday.

The Oscars.org, Oscar.com, ABC News Live, Disney+, GoodMorningAmerica.com, and the Academy’s social media channels, including Twitter, Facebook, and YouTube, will all stream it live as well.

Riz Ahmed won his first Oscar for the acclaimed live-action short film “The Long Goodbye,” which he wrote with Aneil Karia. He was also nominated for his performance in the sound of Metal.
