India’s star cricketer Virat Kohli has expressed support for Cristiano Ronaldo following his outstanding performance against Lionel Messi’s team, Paris Saint-Germain, in a match held in Riyadh.
Despite being fouled by PSG goalkeeper Keylor Navas, Ronaldo quickly regained his composure and scored twice in the exhibition match against PSG, which was held in Riyadh, and was his first game since joining Saudi Arabian club Al-Nassr.
However, despite his efforts, the match ended in a 4-5 defeat as goals from Messi, Mbappe, Ramos, Marquinhos, and Ekitike secured the victory for PSG. It is worth noting that Ronaldo has recently faced criticism following a controversial interview with a British TV channel, which led to his contract with his former club Manchester United being terminated.
Meanwhile, India’s star batter Kohli was inspired by Ronaldo’s outstanding performance in the Friendly and shared a picture of the footballer on his Instagram story.
Virat Kohli said, “Still doing it at the highest level at 38. The football experts sitting and criticizing him every week for attention are conveniently quiet now that he’s put in this kind of performance against one of the top clubs in the world. And he was apparently finished.”
