On Jan 23, multiple cities, including Quetta, Rawalpindi, Lahore, and Karachi, have reported a national power outage in Pakistan.
Imran, a spokesman for K-Electric , posted on Twitter that they are “investigating the situation.” Ninety percent of Karachi has reportedly been impacted.
117 IESCO grid stations’ energy delivery has been interrupted, according to a representative for the Islamabad Electric Supply Company (IESCO).
The IESCO Region Control Center has not yet offered a clear explanation. The “IESCO management is, nevertheless, in close contact with the relevant authorities.”
