There is a national power outage in Pakistan and the Internet community is dealing with it in the best way possible – the meme fest!
Many Twitter users described their experiences of waking up to no electricity in their houses. Since then, the hashtag #PowerOutrage & #ElectricityShutDown gained popularity online.
A few Pakistanis think maybe the government is ‘turning the country on & off again’ to fix it.
Others forgot to charge their phones and they are super sad – big time!
The PSL franchise Islamabad United also jumped on the bandwagon, in case someone needs a generator..
What you need to know:
Multiple cities including Karachi, Islamabad, and Lahore reported nationwide power outage on Jan 23, around 7.30am. According to news outlets, it might take 12 hours for electricity to be restored.
