ISLAMABAD: Asad Umar, Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leader in a tweet decided to unveil another strategy of its party by withdrawing the resignation of 44 PTI MNAs. Umar, PTI secretary said, that on the instruction of PTI Chairman, Imran Khan, the speaker is not accepting the resignation.
Hence, “44 members of the Assembly have emailed the decision to withdraw their resignations to the Speaker of the National Assembly”.
After former Imran Khan was ousted in April 2022 in the no vote confidence. The PTI members decided on the submission of the mass resignation.
In April 2022, following the ousting of Imran Khan in a no-confidence vote, the PTI members decided to submit mass resignations. However, the speaker, Raja Pervez Ashraf, seemed hesitant to accept all of the resignations. In the latest development, 35 PTI MNAs‘ resignations were accepted by the speaker, including that Sheikh Rasheed.
