Reshuffling In Punjab: CS, IGP, And CCPO Transferred

LAHORE: On Monday night, there was a significant reshuffle in the top bureaucracy of Punjab as the chief secretary (CS), the inspector general of police (IGP), and the Capital City Police Lahore officer (CCPO) were all transferred.

The newly appointed caretaker government of Punjab, Syed Mohsin Raza Naqvi transferred the Senior Member of the Board of Revenue, Zahid Akhtar Zaman. Zaman was replaced by Abdullah Khan Sumbal. Zaman has also served as an additional secretary of the cabinet division and additional chief secretary of south Punjab.

Additionally, the federal government transferred IGP Aamir Zulfiqar and appointed Dr. Usman Anwar as his replacement. A notification was issued directing Zulfiqar to report to the Establishment Division in Islamabad.

As part of the National Highways and Motorway Police, Dr. Anwar was doing his job. While serving as SSP Operations Faisalabad, CID, and Chief Traffic Officer Rawalpindi, he remained employed by CTD Punjab.

Moreover, the federal government issued the transfer and posting orders for the new chief secretary. The Lahore CCPO Ghulam Mahmood Dogar was replaced by Bilal Siddique Kamyana. Kamyana has been given a second term as CCPO in Lahore.
