ISLAMABAD: Finance Minister Ishaq Dar blamed Imran Khan for the responsible for economic crisis in the country and said, he cited different figures of numbers.
While addressing Imran Khan, he said, “We are trying to rectify the economic situation that was devastated by your leadership.”
He stated, “You have spoiled the four years of the country, and you have also confessed that you came to power through rigged elections. And you have named the persons who brought you to power as well.”

“If you had rebuilt the economy instead of politically victimizing people, Pakistan would not be in this vortex of economic distress,” says Dar.
He said, “We had just two ways to choose from: politics or the state, and we have chosen the state despite politics to save the nation.”
“We sacrificed our politics for the sake of the country. But your motto is different. You think of saving your politics instead of the state.”
“The last government of PMLN left GDP growth at 5.8%, and you claim that it was 5.3%. But after rebasing, the final number was 5.8%, and you have accepted that number without any shame.”
The finance minister, Dar, stated that the government inherited several issues from the previous administration.
‘Government is Working Tirelessly’
He said that the government is working tirelessly to address these problems.
“The team is striving to improve the situation ahead of the elections,” he said.

He also mentioned that the economy of Pakistan was severely impacted over the last five years, but the government of the coalition parties is determined to improve it before the next elections.
He emphasized that the country is still experiencing the consequences of the “drama” that began five years ago.
He argued that the economy was strengthened during the tenure of Nawaz Sharif from 2013-2017.
The finance minister further added that Pakistan Stock Exchange was the top-performing capital market in South Asia and ranked fifth in the world during Nawaz Sharif’s tenure.
