SRINAGAR: The G20 conference will be hosted in Srinagar, in Jammu and Kashmir, in May of 2023. As per the international media, the Indian government is making preparations for the winter by planting trees for parks and painting walls, while also fixing important highways and the drainage system.
In more than 50 places, over 200 sessions will be held in 32 separate work streams. The G20 was established in 1999 as a platform for finance ministers to talk about international economic and financial challenges.
In response to the global economic crisis, the forum was elevated to the level of heads of state. Trade, climate change, sustainable development, health, agriculture, energy, the environment, and a substantial chapter on corruption were added to the agenda.
Around 85% of the world’s GDP is represented by the G20 group, which also includes Saudi Arabia, Germany, Canada, and France. India, China, Indonesia, and the United States constitute two-thirds of the world’s population.
Bangladesh, Egypt, Mauritius, the Netherlands, Nigeria, Oman, Singapore, Spain, and the UAE are among the nations that are hosting India as special guests. The United Nations, International Monetary Fund, World Bank, World Health Organization, World Trade Organization, ILO, FSB, OECD, ASEAN Chair, ISA, and other international organizations are among those invited.
The World Economic Forum’s founder and executive chairman highlighted the need for immediate action on problems of global significance, such as the role that renewable energy plays in the global healthcare ecosystem and the development of digital public infrastructure.
