Durefishan Saleem, who most recently appeared in the blockbuster Kaisi Teri Khudgarzi, said she would never watch or even participate in a similarly “toxic” show again. She does, however, give credit to the Ahmed Bhatti directorial team for giving her popularity and allowing her to be selective with her scripts.

In an interview, she criticized the audience for supporting shows that promote toxic behavior and not giving enough attention to progressive and feminist-oriented storylines. She was asked why she chose to work on a project like “Kaisi Teri Khudgarzi,” considering she wouldn’t watch something like it herself. Saleem explained that the project presented many professional opportunities for her, and it also highlights a narrative that society is fixated on – a male character saving a female character.
