ISLAMABAD: The one-day visit of UAE President HH Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan to Islamabad, scheduled for today, has been postponed due to unfavorable weather, according to the Prime Minister’s Office.
A statement from the PMO stated that the visit has been rescheduled for a later date due to the weather. The Emirati president arrived in Pakistan on January 25th for a private visit.

On Monday, he was scheduled to meet with Pakistani officials in Islamabad to talk about improving the friendship and cooperation between the two countries in various fields. However, due to unfavourable conditions, the visit has been postponed and a new date will be announced soon, according to the Prime Minister’s Office.
The statement said that the UAE President reached out to Pakistani Prime Minister Shehbaz and expressed disappointment about the postponement. The Prime Minister responded that the safety and well-being of the guest were a top priority and that it was not safe to proceed with the visit in adverse weather conditions. President Al-Nahyan reassured Prime Minister Shehbaz that he would soon visit Islamabad for a two-day visit.
