Due to the increase in the dollar rate in the country, inflation has become uncontrollable, but Pakistani players have something to cheer about.
Who will be the highest-paid Pakistani cricketers in Pakistan Super League (PSL) season 8?
According to local media, all the players in the PSL are paid in dollars, and the dollar is increasing on a daily basis against rupees.
The highest-paid cricketers in PSL 8 include Babar Azam, Shaheen Afridi, Mohammad Rizwan, and Shadab Khan. All these players will get 170,000$ i.e., 46 million rupees, according to the dollar’s current value.
The best players in the PSL are selected through the draft, which determines their selection. $130,000, which is 33 million Pakistani rupees, is the biggest amount in the platinum category of the PSL, where players can win up to $170,000, which is 46 million Pakistani rupees.
In PSL season 6 in 2021, Pakistani players were paid in Pakistani rupees, apart from foreign players and production staff. But former PCB chairman Ramiz Raja had decided to make all PSL payments in dollars.
