To Tackle Counter-Terrorism, a Joint Parliament Session Was Convened

ISLAMABAD: On Tuesday, Senators suggested discussing counter-terrorism policy in a joint parliamentary session scheduled for 8th February. During a session at Parliament House in Islamabad, senators discussed recent terrorist incidents in the country.

Raza Rabbani of the Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) condemned the recent suicide bombing in a mosque in Peshawar.The senator stated that the counter-terrorism policy should be the topic of discussion in the upcoming February 8th session.

He urged political parties to engage in a national dialogue within parliament and reach a consensus on important matters. Senator Saifullah Abro emphasised the need to prevent future occurrences similar to the one in Peshawar and emphasised that security incidents should not be used for political gain.
