LAHORE: The court has acquitted journalist Imran Riaz Khan of the case of “Hate Speeches.” He was arrested by the Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) on Tuesday.

The case of Imran Riaz Khan was heard in the court of Ghulam Murtaza in the district court of Kachary, who announced the reserved verdict.

Earlier, the FIA had requested the local court in Lahore to grant a 14-day physical remand for senior journalist Imran Khan, who was arrested on charges of making hate speeches.

The counsel for a senior journalist stated that the FIA did not provide any reasons for the arrest in its petition.
