ISLAMABAD: Pakistan’s Minister of State for Foreign Affairs, Hina Rabbani Khar, will embark on a two-day visit to Sri Lanka starting today 3rd February.
Mumtaz Zahra Baloch, spokesperson for Pakistan’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs, said the minister will serve as the Guest of Honor for Sri Lanka’s 75th Independence Day celebrations.
Baloch added that in addition to participating in the Independence Day events, Khar will meet with Sri Lanka’s leadership, including the Foreign Minister. She noted that Pakistan and Sri Lanka have a long-standing and growing relationship in all areas of bilateral cooperation.
The spokesperson said that the minister’s visit will help further strengthen understanding between the two countries and show Pakistan’s support for Sri Lanka during a challenging time.
