Pakistan: Interior Minister Rana Sanaullah has accused former Army Chief General Qamar Javed Bajwa and former spy chief General (retd) Faiz Hameed of supporting PTI Chairman Imran Khan until November 28, 2022.
In the talk show of GeoNews, The minister rejected the claim that head of Army of that time General Bajwa was going to retire in November.
He supported the statement made by PML-N senior vice-president Maryam Nawaz, who recently claimed that the two former army officials aided Imran Khan during the PML-N’s original rule.
The minister also claimed that Imran Khan’s long march was linked to the appointment of a new army chief and he attempted to damage the institution to achieve his goals.
He questioned the motives behind the November 26 march led by Khan, which he believed was not just a protest.
The minister said that Khan’s campaign on May 25 failed mainly because of the PML-N government at the center.
It is worth noting that both General Bajwa and General Hameed retired from their respective positions in November 2022.
