ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif said that India is mistaken if it believes it can crush the unwavering spirit of the Kashmiri people.
These views were shared by other Pakistani leaders during Kashmir Solidarity Day on February 5.
The OIC Contact Group on Kashmir also met at the United Nations to discuss a just and sustainable solution to the issue.

The Prime Minister said that they urge India to fulfill its commitments to Pakistan, the United Nations, and most importantly, to the Kashmiri people.
He mentioned that thousands of Kashmiris have lost their lives to Indian occupying forces and are enduring countless atrocities, and the situation has only worsened after India’s illegal and unilateral actions on August 5, 2019.
The Prime Minister stated that on behalf of the entire Pakistani nation, he wants to assure the Kashmiri brothers and sisters that Pakistan stands with them shoulder to shoulder and will continue to support them morally, diplomatically, and politically until they are freed from Indian oppression.
He emphasized that Pakistan will continue to raise its voice on international platforms and highlight the barbaric actions of India in occupied Jammu and Kashmir.

‘Pakistan won’t Remain Silent on Kashmir Issue,’ says FM
Foreign Minister Bilawal Bhutto assured the Kashmiri people that as long as they are victims of Indian atrocities, Pakistan will not remain silent.
He emphasized that the issue of Kashmir will remain an integral part of the country’s foreign policy.
Bhutto pointed out that India has begun a new era of suppressing the people of Occupied Jammu and Kashmir with its illegal and unilateral actions on August 5, 2019.
He added that millions of non-Kashmiris have been added to the voter lists with the intention of reducing the Kashmiris to a powerless minority in their own land.
