LAHORE: The Chairman of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI), Imran Khan, has announced that he will present himself first for arrest in the “Jail Bharo” Tehreek.

Addressing the journalists, he said that he would be recovered within two weeks and then launched the “Jail Bharo” Tehreek.

“We don’t have any other option but to protest,” he said, adding “I will arrest myself in the Jail Bharo Tehreek.” He also referred to Tyrian White’s case as a benefit for him.

While expressing doubt about potential election fraud, he stated, “People who were involved in the May 25 incident being brought back to Punjab raises suspicions that fraud is expected in the general election.”

‘Benefit of the Doubt’

He said, “Former Chief of Army Staff General Qamar Javed Bajwa was respected in our time, but now he wouldn’t be able to walk on the street.”

Khan stated that the establishment is not a single person, and every new army chief brings their policies. He said that Bajwa appointed Hussein Haqqani and others through his strong lobbying efforts.

Amid a series of arrests, Imran Khan said he will give the “benefit of the doubt” to the new Army Chief.

“They were lobbying against me in the US, but for the first time, the public didn’t accept the regime change,” Khan said.

Khan said that he has never seen such actions of revenge before and feels that Bajwa’s policies have not ended yet.

It was my mistake, even a blunder, to have given an extension to General Bajwa,” he said.

Afghanistan Peace

Regarding the neighboring country, he said that the current government of Afghanistan is not hostile towards Pakistan, but they cannot tolerate terrorism.

“Foreign Minister Bilawal Bhutto Zardari can have breakfast in the US, but he cannot talk about peace and stability in Afghanistan,” he said.
