ISLAMABAD: As the Turkiye government is occupied with rescue efforts following a devastating earthquake, the visit of Premier Shehbaz Sharif has been postponed. In light of this, the government has also postponed the All Parties Conference (ACP).

According to sources, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif’s departure for Turkiye, scheduled for today (Wednesday), has been canceled.

According to Reuters, “the death toll of a devastating earthquake in southern Turkiye and Syria jumped to more than 7,800 people on Tuesday as rescuers worked against time in harsh winter conditions to dig survivors out of the rubble of collapsed buildings.”

The government has not announced new dates for the Prime Minister’s visit.

Meanwhile, the All Parties Conference (ACP) has been postponed twice due to the Prime Minister’s visit.

Initially, the government had announced that the ACP would take place on February 9th instead of February 7th.
