The lawyer for Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leaders, Musarrat and Jamshed Cheema, conveyed and signaled their intention to leave PTI amid an attack on military installations. Military installations, along with buildings, officers, and transports, were set on fire during violent protests carried out by PTI.
The lawyer stated, “I’m confident that Jamshed Cheema has decided that as soon as he gets out of jail, he will announce his departure from PTI.” Furthermore, the lawyer added that Cheema is heartbroken over such attacks on military installations. He refused to align himself with any view that harms the image of the Pakistan army.
Cheema condemned the aggression against these military headquarters. He stated, “The Pakistan army is the main organ of the state, and I may disagree with any political party, but I can never go against the army. It will always remain important.”
